QSL Card for The Next HOPE Conference, From Start To Finish.

Coming this July 16-18 I have the nervous pleasure of speaking at “The Next HOPE “, (Hackers On Planet Earth) a conference started by Emmanuel Goldstein publisher of 2600 magazine. The plan is to talk about my silly Wizzywig comics, but, Bernie S. asked if I would design a QSL card since they are setting up an amateur radio station special for the show and it is customary to trade them with folks you speak to through the airwaves.

He sent me an image link from Google so that I could basically see what the hell they were.

Bernie gave me some guidelines about what he was looking for. He basically just wanted a cool image of a dude at the helm surrounded by tons of radio equipment. Below is what I came up with from the idea stage to the final illustration.


So the weekend of July 16-18, if we establish radio contact with you, from HOPE, you will be getting one of these in the mail.
